About Reiki Healing
Reiki is a form of natural healing, evolved in Japan. Reiki is based on
channelling healing energy through the hands.

All forms of natural healing empower the body to heal itself more quickly and
effectively. The healing energy does not originate from the healer, but is
channelled by the healer from the universal force that is the source of all life.

Direct access to self-healing is an ability that we all possessed as children.
We all know how quickly a child can recover from an accident or illness,
compared with most adults. Over the years, the 'baggage' of life, from
something as simple as a harsh comment from a teacher, to illness, depression
and the pace of modern living can all contribute to dulling that healing light we
all carry within us. Reiki and other forms of natural healing help us to
re-connect with our own self-healing abilities.

Learning Reiki
Grace is an experienced teacher in the Usui System of Natural Healing and
teaches all three Reiki levels. Overnight accommodation and vegetarian meals
are also available. See below for costs. Courses consist of no more than four
students at a time, to maintain a high level of attention to each student's
needs. Each course takes place on a single day, lasting 5-6 hours, depending
upon the number of students.

In addition to learning to heal yourself and others, it is important to remember
that studying healing for many also marks the beginning of a personal spiritual
journey. The end point may not be what was first expected, as life may take
interesting twists and turns for the student who is open to new challenges!

First degree Reiki empowers the student to begin to heal; first, by healing
themselves. A period of 21 days self-healing follows the Reiki 1 course. During
this time, the student spends 20-30 minutes every day self-healing so that
they can provide a clear channel for healing energy. It is OK for students to
heal others during this period, however. In fact the more practice the better!

Second degree Reiki introduces the student to distance healing. This is
not only across distances, but also backwards and forwards in time. Healing
energy can be sent to past and future events. Three Reiki symbols are also
taught in Reiki 2.

Third degree Reiki is in two parts: firstly Reiki 3 practitioner (or Reiki
master practitioner) and secondly Reiki teacher (or Reiki master teacher). The
student chooses to receive a deeply empowering attunement. A Reiki 3
practitioner accepts responsibility for their own life and destiny and receives
the tools to provide this help for themselves and others who seek it. Psychic
surgery is also taught at this level. The Reiki teacher course introduces the
student to techniques to attune others to Reiki and gives practical advice on
teaching Reiki and running courses.
